Dulwich College Lower School Wins Education Estates Project of the Year (Independent Schools)
Dulwich College Lower School has received its second award after being named Education Estates Project of the Year – Independent Schools 2025 at the Education Estates, recognising excellence in educational design and delivery.
Designed by alma-nac, the new Lower School building provides a modern, inspiring learning environment for pupils aged 7–13. The scheme thoughtfully complements the College’s historic setting, introducing light and adaptable spaces that foster creativity, collaboration and wellbeing.
Quantem were appointed as QS, PMs and CDM-PD on the project, supporting the client and design team in delivering a high-quality building within a carefully managed budget. Our role included providing strategic cost planning, procurement advice and financial management from inception through to completion, ensuring value was achieved at every stage and cost certainty from the start.
Speaking about the project, Alex Jones, Partner said:
“It’s fantastic to see Dulwich College Lower School recognised with this award. This project exemplifies what can be achieved through true collaboration, balancing design ambition, sustainability and educational purpose. We’re proud to have contributed to a building that will positively impact generations of pupils to come.”
The award celebrates a project that not only enhances the school’s facilities but also reflects the College’s commitment to creating sustainable and enriching spaces for learning within a strict budget and programme.
Congratulations to Dulwich College, alma-nac, and the full project team on this well-deserved recognition.
